Has it really been a month since I last connected with you? I can hardly believe it! There was a time in my life when the mere idea of unplugging from all things digital would send shivers of panic up and down my spine. What if someone I didn’t know needed me? What if I missed an opportunity?
It took me a long time to understand and accept that unplugging was not only healthy but it often, if not always, led to greater things once I was ready to reconnect. Unplugging gave my head the break and space it needs for ideas and energy to flow freely.
When we constantly bombard our senses with digital content be it social media or emails, we don’t allow the energy within us and around us to flow freely, hence preventing us from being fully present.
And this applies to all of us!
As diligent, as committed and as hard working as we are, we need to devote some of that same attention to our creative selves. And that’s what unplugging will help you do.
So why have I been MIA for the past month? Well, I had a baby!
Baby Alessio joined our family at 10:08pm on August 30th.
And so for the first month of his life, I wanted to devote all of my love, energy and attention to him.
Don’t get me wrong, I often had to itch to reconnect, especially when I thought of all the amazing women on IG that share everything from the birth of their child to his/her every move there after. And that’s great and beautiful. But that’s not what I needed to do.
This doesn’t mean that I didn’t want to share my journey with you or that I didn’t miss you. Because I did.
But for the past 30 days, I needed to shift my energy to that one person that is new to this wonderful the world. I needed to create the space needed to allow us to connect, to get to know each other and to find our common rhythm.
And now, as Baby Alessio peacefully naps on me in his sling, I am grateful and filled with excitement to be sitting in front of my computer, writing to you.
I am excited to connect with you not only because I’ve missed you, but because big things are in the works.
As I said, unplugging allows creativity to flow freely.
For those of you that have read my eBook (thank you!) , The Ignition Toolbox, you are already familiar with the different techniques to bring more awareness and mindfulness into your life.
Now, we are going a step further and I will give you a plan to bring that awareness and mindfulness into action.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I will bring you on a journey to shift your thoughts into actions so you can reach your goals, whatever they may be.
I developed these techniques as a worked as a corporate lawyer. I applied a systemic action plan to every big assignment I was given and it has never failed me.
I am confident it will work for you as well.
So stay tuned, my new serie is coming up soon right here on the blog.
I am so excited for you.
